The Congressional Addiction Forum – Advancing Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery for Youth – will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 9:30am to 12:30pm on Capitol Hill. Key stakeholders and policy makers will be convening to help guide consensus and discuss best practices on addiction and youth.

At the forum, attendees will help identify a strategy and plan moving forward to elevate and advance addiction policy. Four key focus issues will include prevention, treatment, recovery and a special panel on families.

The forum will consist of leaders in addiction and criminal justice policy that represent a broad cross-section of states, organizations and backgrounds. Invitees will include state policymakers and officials, treatment providers, individuals in recovery, key stakeholder organizations, members of Congress, and sitting Governors. Congressional hosts include Senator Rob Portman (R-OH), Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH), and Congressman Dave Joyce (R-OH).
