Prior to the August recess, Sens. Cassidy (R-LA) and Murphy (D-CT) introduced the Mental Health Reform Act of 2015. The legislation seeks to make numerous reforms surrounding the mental healthcare system, including the establishment of an Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
